89 cougar LS digital insturment cluster went dark alll fuse ok and no visible damage .. ignition switih fell apart i reassembled it and it works fine but are ther parts in it that could have fell out so not powering cluster. had to replace this switch several times poor design but cant find out if it powers insturments can you help tootees.com thanks tootee

The switch may supply power to the cluster but im unfamiliar with this car.Similar problems with digital clusters have proven to be a fault in the cluster itself.Best way to find out is remove the cluster and send power direct to the circuit if it does not light up then it is faulty.
