Question
hi we just bought a 98 mustang.when u drive it and like back up or hit the brakes it makes a noise.so if u go 2 the back tiress and push it with your foot,u can here the noise.would that be bearings,or the rear end or something else?thanks 4 your help with this

Answer
Without removing the Wheels, and if a Drum Brake is what you have in the rear, also removing the Drums, and furthermore, not being able to hear the noise myself, it's impossible to pin down the cause of what you are hearing. If you have rear Disc Brakes, it would still be necessary to at least remove the Wheels, and get a good look at the Calipers, Brake Pads, and Rotors, so as to either confrim they are the cause of the noise you are hearing, or eliminate the Brakes as the cause.
