Question
Hi Ben, i just put a good old slant six back in my 1966 a-100 Dodge van, the newer engine which is a 1979 super six taken from an aspen has the electronic distribution, i know its not a hard thing but since  i hate electronic(deeply!!)i dont know how to connect it from the van wiring, could you help me on this...thank you ...Martin

Answer

1960 Slant-Six
It's been a while since I hooked up the Chrysler retro-fit Electronic Ignition Kit on my Slant-Six, so I'd have to say I don't remember what tapped into what. However, what I can tell you, is your earlier Points style Distributor will drop right in where the electronic one sits now, so you can run it instead of the electronic one if you want to.

The only way else to get the primary power hookup diagram for the Electronic Ignition Distributor, would be if you can get a copy of the diagram from the currently available 8 cylinder Electronic Ignition conversion kit, available from Mopar performance. The primary power hookup is the same, regardless of the number of cylinders the Engine has.
