Automotive/91 Ford Escort

Question
I have a 91 Ford escort and it recently shut off while driving to work. I was going around a curve when it happened. The engine will turn over, but just won't hit. I can hear the fuel pump working. Any suggestions will be awesome.

Answer
You need to check for spark or fuel.Find which it is as it will narrow the fault considerably. There are so many components in either system thats its impossible to say right off what it is.It is a process of elimination with each component.Fuel pump, ignition module, wires, plugs,,relays, fuses, etc ,etc,,,,if it was my car ,i would look for spark first if you can hear the pump running ,although this doesnt mean its working properly. You must test fuel pressure.
