Automotive/'93 Ford Explorer Starting Problem

Question
I have a '93 Ford Explorer with approximately 90,000 miles on it.  It is immaculate and well taken care of.  About one month ago, I went to start the car and I didn't have any response, no clicking, no turning, nothing.  However, there was full battery power.  I first changed the solenoid and it still would not start.  I then changed the starter, which seemed to be the cause of the problem.

Yesterday, I experienced the same thing again.  The car will not start.  No clicking, the starter is not turning, nothing.  The tow truck driver tried to "ark"(?) the solenoid and starter, but it still would not start.  We've also tried to jump it, but that didn't work either.  There were no warning signs, or anything of the sort.

Any ideas?

Answer
one of the three things you tried usually is the problem, solenoid, starter, battery,i am pretty sure it is your ignition switch.how does the key feel when you turn it?is it loose....worn?the mechanical part of it may be ok but the inside of the switch gets worn out causing the problem you describe.i just changed one on a taurus, same problem..so look at the ignition switch ,also one more possible cause is the neutral safety switch, this may also be intermittently causing the non start ,,try putting the car in neutral and try it if it doesnt start,if it does start then change the switch its on the transmission.this switch  prevents the car from starting in gear.it will only start in either neutral or park,
