Question
MY QUESTION IS I HAVE A 96 CHEVY CORSICA AND I SAW OIL ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND IT LOOKS CRACKED. WILL THAT CAUSE MY CAR TO MISS AND NO TAKE GAS WELL. IT ACTS LIKE IT DONT WANT TO GO FAST WILL YOU GIVE IT THE GAS. PLEASE HELP? I HAVE CHAGED PLUGS, FUEL FILTER. DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO.

Answer
What do you mean when you say cracked? Is the manifold cracked? If so.then yes the car will not run properly.A cracked intake will cause high uneven idle and a  huge loss of power.Get back to me and if you have a digital camera send me a picture of the intake to my email,,,,kneesliderire@yahoo.com.Its most likely your valve cover is leaking and the oil is running down the manifold. There are other ways to tell if your intake is leaking  such as a vacuum test and its best to buy a manual and go over the tune up procedures in the book.A manual costs about 20$ and is well worth it.There are so many reasons for power loss ,like igniton module ,MAF sensor, air leaks at the vacuum,EGR valve.MAP sensor,so its expensive to "guess"whats wrong.Best way is process of elimination.
