Question
I was told my my dealership that the timeing belt MUST be changed at 100,000 kms. I'm so close and starting to worry. $300 Cdn is what they want...should I worry? The car runs OK, needs tuneup soon but great little car, Thanks

Answer
most belts need replaced after 50 000 miles for safety but i have seen some of them run well over 80 ,,90000miles ,my recommendation is get it replaced because if it snaps it will cost a lot more than 300 $$ to fix your engine,,,,50 000 miles and every 50000 after that then you wont have any problems,,,might as well do it now while you need a tune up,and 300 $ is pretty reasonable for this job it takes about 3,4 hrs roughly to do it,
