Question
98 Honda Prelude that has the factory R-12 A/C system.  What is the best course to take for converting it over to R-134a?  Should I replace the whole system or can a retro-fit kit work. The system works but is starting to lack cooling ability on very hot days.
Thank you.

Answer
the old gas will have to be removed without releasing it into the air so its gonna have to be a shop unless you got the machine to do it,,,,,,,,otherwise the kit works fine.the whole cost of replacement is around 170$,,,,,,dont recommend just letting the old gas out of the system its dangerous and anti environmental friendly,,,while they have the car they can check for leaks which i recommend too.
