Automotive/BMW Radiator Fan

Question
Hello! I own a 2002 BMW ci and have had the fan that is mounted on the motor break off all of the blades twice and as a result tore up my shroud and radiator! Is this happening because of loose motor mounts or could there be another explanation? Thanks

Answer
Never seen this before except when the belt snapped.2002 isnt that old to have bad mounts but i would think that if there is a problem with the fan clutch it may hit the shroud. Are the threads on the water pump ok?...the threads are opposite and the fan clutch needs to be on properly and tight so it doesnt come loose.Only way is to replace all and watch the fan turning.Make sure it has enough clearance and isnt wobbling or bent.
