Question
What is the correct spark plugs number (motorcraft catalog number) for a 1993 ford ranger xls 4cyl?
Recently they change the spark plugs but truck misfires and have carbon deposits, according to specs the plugs does not have the correct heat range, I´ve checked the gap buy it does not work properly, ï´m replacing the plugs but they asked me for the cat number wich don´t know, please help

Answer
I dont know the catalog #.It will be in your handbook. This car has 2 plugs per cylinder and its better to install Bosch platinum long life as the inner plugs are hard to get at and they last a lot longer. The carbon may be another problem such as the fuel mix or o2 sensor.A new set of wires also may help.Any good part store will have the right number for this truck and also your Ford dealer service advisor will tell you over the phone.
