Automotive/Disarming a 2000 Hyundai Accent Sedan Alarm

Question
I recently purchased a used 2000 Hyundai Accent Sedan for my daughter and it doesn't have an owner's manual. She doesn't like the alarm and is constantly setting it off accidently. I believe it is a factory alarm. The alarm LED is mounted on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. Since I don't have the manual, can you tell me how to disable the alarm system?

Thanks Sean,
Dan

Answer
In my experience there is no way to "disable" this alarm if it is a factory install. You may ask an alarm specialist but as it is wired to the ignition,if you disable it you will cut off the ignition and the car wont start. If you lock the door with the key,the drivers side then the alarm wont arm so then it will not go off.Sorry but thats all i can tell you .
