Question I have a '98 Mazda Protege. The horn quit working all of a sudden. When I press on the button, I can hear a clicking sound. My manual doesn't show a fuse for the horn. Is there one? Otherwise, how can I fix it. Do I need to buy a new horn? Thank You for any info you can give me.
Answer There is a fuse and it may be connected to other electrical components such as interior light or heated window ,,if you have the handbook you will see it under fuse allocations under the dash.I think you may have a bad connection on the steering column but its a job for a pro as the airbag needs to be disarmed before you do any work on the steering wheel. You can test the horn with a 12 volt meter on the terminals that go to it.Push the horn and see if it is getting power to the terminals.
