Question
Hi there i have brought a 92 honda prelude and am having trouble with my wheel studs as the keep threading and the nuts wont tighten up, on the front drivers side and back passanger side, i brought a hub with new studs but it seems you have to replace the whole thing, so my question is are they both the same part that i need and can you just replace the studs with out having to replace the whole hub and is it the same on the rear, also why would it be theading them?? Thanks

Answer
Wheel studs can be bought and fitted without renewing the hub.As for why it keeps doing this is a new one to me.Unless someone is using an air hammer they shouldnt do this at all.The nuts should be torqued to 75psi with a hand wrench and should stay tight. There are some reasons such as overtightening and hitting kerbs or potholes but 2 wheels at the same time is odd.If you fit the new studs/hubs,use anti lock grease and they should be ok.
