Question Hi, i need information about ignition tune up, specifically about ignition timing specifications.
Iīm sorry not to ask you about Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge vehicles, but there i go...
I have a 1980 Chevrolet Malibu with a 231 cid V6 engine and a Rochester 2bbl Carb., a Ford Maverick with a 250 cid 6 cyl engine and a 1bbl carter carb., and a Ford Fairlane with a 400 cid V8 engine and a 2bbl carb. Iīm familiar with the ignition timing setting procedure with a strobe ligth, but i donīt have the timing specifications (##š@####rpmīs).
I need that specifications, i donīt have the carīs manuals and the engine and under the hood decals dissapeared too. I hope you can help me with this probelm or tell me where to find this information.
Iīm writtin you from Venezuela (South America), so if the information is on internet is better for me.
Thank you for your atention and help.
Answer Best I can do, is recommend that you try going to http://www.hemmings.com, and see what they have listed there, or try Cars & Parts Magazine at http://www.carsandparts.com/contactus.asp. I believe one of those entities does list CD-Rom versions of the Factory Shop Manuals for cars going back into the 1930's at least.
