Automotive/Mazda just stops

Question
I have a 1990 B2200 Mazda 5 speed pickup I purchased 10 months ago.For 9 months everything was fine.About a month ago I stopped for gas,went
a few blocks and the Mazda just cut out.
I waited about 30 minutes and the car started and
it ran like nothing happened. This lasted till yesterday,a month later when I stopped for a snack, started the car it went a few blocks and again it conked out.
I again waited 30 minutes and it started and ran like nothing was wrong. My guess is gas at certain times is not getting to where it is supposed to get to.What do you think is wrong?

Answer
fuel is definately a cause for stopping but on the japanese engines there is also a possibility it is the distributor.do you have any leaks at the oil seal because sometimes when the seal leaks ,,you will get oil into the distributor and it will cause the electric to short out until the engine cools down a bit and the oil settles,,,,,,,,,thats 2 causes,,,i think you should get the fuel pressure tested and take a good look at the distributor,,,,,,,,,,without having the car to do tests its a shot in the dark,,,,,,,but the car will probably stop altogether which is sometimes easier to diagnose when it isnt running at all.hope this helps let me know what you find,,,
