Question
How do you drain the fuel tank of a 1996 nissan altima. We've been unable to siphon the fuel out. the car was totaled and has a full tank of gas.

Answer
Easiest way is to use the electric fuel pump and hook a hose up to the feed line on the fuel rail.BE CAREFUL........no sparks .........and it should pump it into a large container.Thats if you dont want to take out the tank.You may need to hot wire the fuel pump relay to make it run.BE VERY CAREFUL AS THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.The recommended way is to remove the tank and have a fire extinguisher at hand.
