Automotive - Removing water stains from car windows
Expert: ricardo rodriguez-long - 7/2/2004
Question Do you have any suggestions on how to remove water stains from car windows. Tiny raindrop size "mineral" spots are on all the windows and seems to be "in" the glass. Window cleaner does not remove them. It looks as though the car was washed and left to dry naturally. This is a used car we just purchased. I have been trying to research this topic in car detailing but can't find any info. Thank you for any suggestions. Mary
Answer It may not be water after all. Any water marks will be removed with a good window cleaner. Is it posible that the car had some paint overspray? Thinner or mineral spirits could help, but be carefull and use a very small amount in a rag.IF there are still there then I am afraid that could be something else (chemical) that was left to oxidize there. Good luck
