DIA. AND TWO ELEC. DIA. BUT ONE ONE CAN FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT? BEEN THROUGH 6 MECHANICS. HAVE REBULIT ENGINE CHANGED CARB. NEW TRANS. ALMOST EVER THING. NOW HAVE 7.000 DOLLOR DEPT. TRYING TO FIX CAN AFFORD NO MORE. PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN? THANK-YOU GAIL

Answer
Best guess I can come up with, would either be a Vacuum leak in the Carburetor itself, or a Vacuum operated servo.

Only other possibilty, could be Vapor Lock, from engine heat, and the fact that most gasolines these days really aren't compounded to work well in Carbureted vehicles. Not sure what you can do to alleviate the problem, if Vapor Lock is your problem.
