Question
How do I adjust the timing on my Mitsibishu Expo ?

Answer
if its adjustable,,you can turn the distributor, either way ,,loosen the bolt or bolts and you will need a strobe light, look at the marks on the crankshaft and set it according to manufacturers specs, its written on the underside of the hood usally is 15 degrees before TDC,,,or there abouts, thats with the engine running,,,i take it you know how to use the timing light?.or strobe as its called.you didnt say what year your car is or why you need to set the timing.best way is to mark the TDC mark with chalk then you can see it when you point the light at it,
