Question
Yesterday I was driving along, suddenly, heard static (over the radio, then POP! Electrical smell then smoke from underneath the dash. Then noticed the airbag warning light came on. And that was it. Or so I thought.

A couple of hours later, I went out to go somewhere. Dead. No lights, nothing. I had a friend jump me off and I charged the battery, and then a couple of hours later, it started, no problem.

This morning, same thing. Nothing. No power, no lights.

What's up?

Answer
It sounds like you have a serious electical short and need to see a tech.If the airbag light came on,it will need to be checked as this is serious. The electrical system on this car is complex and you need to have experience with wiring and airbag systems.
