Question
I have a 1994 Dodge Intrepid. The air conditioner will not work.  They replaced the o-rings and put in new coolant, but the compressor won't turn on.  Could it be a fuse or switch?  It used to work fine. Also the airbag light on the dash stays on.  Do I have to take it to the dealer or is there something I can fix on my own?Thank you.

Answer
the compressor relay may be at fault or the system may be low on gas in which case the sensor will not engage the compressor.there must be enough gas to start the compressor.Thats if the compressor is ok,,,,,Looks like a trip to a competent a/c mechanic,,,,,,,and have the complete system checked out for leaks etc,,,as for the air bag its a shop only that can fix the light as the air bag circuit has a fault,,you cannot fix this as it is highly dangerous to go poking around airbag systems. They WILL deploy. If you dont know how or have the right scanner for airbags it can cause serious injury.IF YOUR LIGHT STAYS ON IT IS HIGHLY LIKELY THAT THE AIRBAGS WONT WORK IN A CRASH.
