Question
I have a 1991 toyota corolla that the a/c is not working.  I dont think that the compressor is engaging.  Also by looking on the top of the receiver-drier it doesnt appear to have any refrigerant in it. Should I go and buy the recharging kit or is there another problem. The reason I ask is because I tried to recharge my sisters car and didnt fix the problem.  Thank you Mitchell

Answer
The problem is ,when you recharge with the kit and have a leak ,then all the gas escapes.Thats what happened probably with the other car.I would recommend a good A/C shop who can test with a vacuum for leaks before i spend any money on gas.It may just need new O rings.
