Question i have an 85 d150 it is all origional and i guess it would be the choke or something is rusted out
it is connected to the carb by a metal rod and is a little coil inside a metal box to the left of carb on block when looking from front to back. what is the name for this ? no one can tell me and i need it

Answer The name I've generally used when referring to the Choke, is 'Choke Stove', or simply 'Choke.' You may have to hunt around for that part, since Carburetors and related parts, have pretty much become an extinct species.
