Question i just purchase a 1986 dodge d-50 ram with the mitsibishi 2.0 4 cylinder.before i purchase it the guy went on vacation for five days then when he got back he drove it about 100 yards then started missing and eventually died. He put new timing belt on it and still doesnt work. i drained gas and put new in it and new spark plugs. new distributer. the fire from the coil is firing yellow. Please help
Answer There's a possibilty that your vehicle's Engine bent a Valve when the Timing Belt let loose. The only way I can think of to determine whether or not the Engine has a bent Valve, would be to remove the Valve Cover, and with the Coil Wire off, crank the Engine, and check to see if each Valve appears to be completely opening and closing.
