Question -
i have a daihatsu grand move auto and it sounds as if air is laeking while it's running is this ok or have i got a poblem the car performs ok

Answer -
if the vacuum has a leak it usually runs bad,,,,bad idle ,,hesitation etc,,,best way is to test the vacuum, with a guage,,,,,you didnt say which part of the engine you hear the hiss?...kinda look under the hood and try to pinpoint the leak,,,maybe a hose.easy to fix if you find it.......dont ignore this it may cause trouble later on,,,,,is your check engine light on?.........

Answer
could be the evap,,,,thats the vacuum going to the big black canister usually around the firewall,,,you will have to look at all the lines going to the EFI,,,,,,,i know theyre a pain to get at but,,,,,,as you say the hiss runs for a minute after you switch off makes me think its the evap,,,,,,,didnt your check engine come yet??it should have,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
