Automotive/eagle talon AWD steering and brakes shake

Question
thanks very helpful. the cv joints are good, at least the boots are not cracked and i ve had cv problems befor with my blazer and its not the same feeling or sound.  the grinding doesnt sound like the trans axel. sounds like the brakes and it only happens when i push them and it only happens for a second. it kind of feels like the ABS is kicking  in and causing the brakes to release. i tried to get the hub off but coulnt do it my compressor is down so i have no air tools. but there is no play in the hub. there is some play side to side in the steering but i just figured the steering box was a little loose. i dont think its enough to cause the shaking. thanks again. and im not driving this at this time it is way to dangerous.

Question -
i have a 91 eagle talon awd tsi the front wheel, seems like only the left, shakes bad. i replaced the rotors and pads  and on the one side the caliper braket was cracked, i welded it back together, but it still shakes. plus the ABS brake light is on and when i apply them i get e lettle bit of a grinding noise and the pedle kicks back up the grind is not like bad pads plus i did replace them any suggestions. if it helps i know it needs front struts.....please ahny suggestions would help. thanks

Answer -
you told me most of the problem,,,the struts.if theyre gone then thats a big problem with shaking.when the struts go everything at the front end takes a hammering also the sway bar bushings will need checked as will also the control arm bushes and tie rod ends, along with the tie rods ,,you didnt say if the CV boots were good or  CV joints  on the drive axles,,,,,,,is the grinding coming from the trans axle?...i suggest going to a good alignment guy and get it on a rack before you have a bad accident this car doesnt sound safe.the ABS sensor has probably been shaken so hard its gone,,,also check the hub bearings,,,,hows the rear brakes while youre at it?

Answer
sorry i missed your reply,,,,,,,i am thinking its related to the hub on the side thats making the noise so you will have to get it off and inspect it,,,ABS is not usually the problem with making noise as its only got a sensor on the hub,i think its the axle itself and the bracket which was cracked, what caused it to crack could be your problem,,,
