Question
Dome lights and interior lights stay on

Answer
Knowing little else about your Car, the best guess I have, is a stuck Door Jam Switch. In each Door opening, usually on the leading edge, there is some type of 'Pin Switch', that closes when you open the car door. If the Switch isn't opening all the way when the Car Door is closed, or the wire connecting to it has grounded itself against the Car Body, then the Dome Light will stay on.

Also, a bad Headlight Switch could be the culprit. If the Dimmer part of the Switch is stuck, or otherwise bleeding current into the Dome Light feed, the Light won't go out.

The Door Switch is a fairly straight forward thing to check and replace, however, the Headlight Switch is a little more involved, and I wouldn't recommend a novice getting into that job.

If you're not mechanically inclined, I'd recommend a visit to a reputable Auto Electric Shop.
