Question
I think i heard that the trans may have to be taken apart to fix the problem. sounds costly. hhmmm.  i love the car. bought it used in 2004. The only other thing i had to do, is replace a egr vav or vac sensor, after somebody hit me on the drivers side in a minor accident.

-----Question-----
my camry has 78000 miles on it, and i recently got a transmission trouble code. CODE P0773  but the check engine light went out. the car drives fine. will i be ok if  just LEAVE IT ALONE?
-----Answer-----
No,this is a shift solenoid electrical problem.Best to have it looked at before it decides to stop altogether. If its the shift solenoid, the car may stick in gear or not shift at all.Stuck in either reverse ,park,or neutral.

Answer
Yes you will have to have the transmission looked at by a expert. The only way is to investigate this is to remove the valve body or it may be the outer solenoid.Although with the mileage its probably the former.A used transmission isnt too hard to get as i have replaced a couple.
