Question I have a 1999 chrysler town and country 3.8L. the oil light comes on when i slow down and hit the break, and when the car is on idol. The car has a new oil pump really don't know what to do????
Answer My best guess, would be a low Oil level, which upon braking to stop, is starving the 'Oil Pickup' in the Oil Pan. My only other guess, is if it's possible to have installed the 'Oil Pickup' backwards, that upon braking to stop, the 'Oil Pickup' is being starved of Oil, due to it not being in the deepest part of the Oil Pan.
