Automotive/When parts go out...

QuestionI have a 91 Acura Integra that is at about 180,000 miles. I'm really attached to the car and would like to drive it for a while longer. I've learned that the cv joints tend to go out about every 70,000 miles. Do you know of any other parts that can pretty well be expected to go out around a certain milage? I suspect that my clutch (the original one) needs changed. I'm wondering if there might be anything else that should be checked on at this point...

Answergetting time for a major overhaul, expect anything to "go",head gasket, valve cover gasket,,belts,,oil seals,,basically any moving parts,,,,i just did my own toyota with 180 000 miles and removed the engine+tranny,,,renewed the power steering hoses, head gaskets, motor mounts.valve job, drive shafts, oil seals front and rear, all the gaskets and water pump seals...and a new clutch...theres really nothing you can patch up,,just gotta get the job done right and then youre good for another few years, you didnt say bout oil leaks or rattles etc,,,does it burn oil?...worn rings and pistons will do this.shocks front and rear,,brakes ,,you can go on and on,,,just really have to see if its worth the cost or just get a newer car.on my car it was the cost of the parts as i did my own labor,,,cheaper and i know the mechanic, did a good job,
