Question
I have a '99 Audi A6 and when you crank the car power is loss. The trip milage resets and there is a little hesitation in the starting of the car. When the put the key in you can see the last trip, but it does reset on the crank. The milage reset doesn't does not happen all the time (maybe twice a day).

Answer
what do you mean the power is lost?......does the car turn over slowly?..i think you may need a battery, ive seen the electrics do funny stuff when the battery is about to die,,,,did you get the battery tested ?if its ok then i suggest it maybe the guage itself, but 99 times its the battery,,hope this helps,,,
