Question
QUESTION: I just inherited a 1994 infiniti Q45. The story behind it is that it had a blow out and it cut all the wires in the wheel well that powers everything in the car. we'll got all that fix  and check it twice, everything seam to be working fine except for the power windows. When I first got the car I was able to roll down the window from the center console after I was unable to, I can still roll down the passenger side window put only from the door switch the rear windows I cannot do etheir. I have had the wires look at again and they seam to be ok and hook up right I have check all the fuse and they are ok as well I only saw only relay fuse for the car and when I check it seams to be ok....please help
ANSWER: If the wiring is correct then it must be either the switch itself or the relay. Its unlikely to be the individual motors failing as this is rare.Try a different switch and see if it works.

QUESTION: is there anyway to test the swithes and relays with a volt meter?
ANSWER: Yes.Remove the door panel and put the meter on the positive and negative wires for the motor.Flick the switch with the key turned on and see if you are getting 12 volts to the motor. If not the its either the switch or the relay.Testing the relay is best by using a new one as theyre not too expensive and that will rule out a faulty relay.Or you can get one at the junk yard. Some cars have relays which are exactly the same for different circuits such as A/C or ABS.Use one of these to test and be sure to mark which one you swop over .There will be a number on each one and simply match the window relay with a number the same and terminals the same to test the windows.

QUESTION: where would the power window relay be at, because they are not in the engine where th fuse box is at?

Answer
If its not under the hood, its under the dash. You will need a manual to identify it.Offhand i am not sure exactly which one it is.If you flick the switch for the windows, you may be able to listen for the click and trace it that way.You will need a second person.
