Question
Ihave a 1985 Mercedes 380se and I canot get 3 of my windows to go up or down I checked the fuses and relays and there good, I replaced the switches and they worked for a second but that was it only the right rear works. do you have any idea where to go next?

Answer
when you say they worked for a sec,,,did you check the fuses again?.sounds like a short but usually the windows are not all on the one fuse,i mean the right rear and left front are on a seperate fuse as is the left rear and right front,,,,so,,,,,,check the power going to the motor on each window with a meter,,,to make sure it isnt the motor itself thats bad but unlikey to have 3 motors go at the same time, you didnt say if this happened all of a sudden or did they just get worse?...i would look at the fuses again and try a different relay ,,,it must be one of the 4 ,fuse, relay, motor, switch,,and look at your harness under the console make sure its clean and dry, seen a lot of coffee spills short out the switches,,,,,,
