Automotive/stalling car

Question
I have a 99 grand vitara suzuki. A few days ago i changed the fuel filter because it was stalling while idle. The spark plugs have been changed also. The car continues to stall at red lights and it is losing power. What should i do and is it the fuel pump?

Answer
It is more likely the EGR valve or a vacuum leak.If your fuel pump goes out,it will not start at all.You will need to check both vacuum pressure and fuel pressure with the proper gauge, its possible too that it is the fuel regulator.Make sure the idle speed control is working as well. There are some procedures you must go through as there are many components that will cause this.I would get the correct manual at a parts store and for $20,they are well worth it.It will tell you how to do all the tests and save you money instead of throwing parts at it and hoping you get lucky. Most probable causes are the ones i have said.EGR or vacuum.
