Question
i have a subaru lagace 1995 autimatic transmission 1.8l engine.

i bought a subary legacy it has a transmission problem you got any idea what the solution is.
it drives fine takes all the gears fine but the car wont go reverse its like its in nuetrol it wont go reverse its in the reverse slot fine.

got any clues whatit could be

You said it ,,,,,transmission problem is what it is.It will go eventually with no forward gears either.I have seen this many times.It is inside the transmission probably the valve body seal is gone.No other solution only take it to the shop or get another transmission,,,,no easy fix sorry.
