hey my name is max, i own a 1994 Nissan altima.. it runs great it has over 190,000 miles on it. but my tachometer keeps going out, or reading wrong. Just the other day it said i was hitting 9 grand, then died and wouldent tell me my RPM's. due you know how i can solve this. and where i can locate the wire to check it, and info would really help!

Answer
the drive is usually hooked up to the transmission,,look for any harnesses going to it, on most cars its electrical....it may be on top of the tranny or some cars have em on the crankshaft just ask the parts store,,,,,,for your model, where its located but its usually on the tranny.
