Question
I have a 1967 dodge a 100 van with a 225 slant six with a holley 1 barrel carb. What is the timing suposed to be set at?In the service manual it says to line the mark on the damper with BTC.In the same manual in the specs it says 0.Do you know which it is

Answer
I apologize for not getting this information to you sooner, but here are the 'Tune-Up Specs for your 1967 Dodge Slant-6

Plug Gap: .035
Dwell: 42 Degrees
Point Gap: .020
Timing: 5 Degrees Before Top Dead Center
Idle (Neutral) 550 RPM
Valve Lash: .010 Intake, .020 Exhaust (Fully warmed Engine)

I owe you an apology, as I have not yet gotten over to the Garage where I keep my Books for the older vehicles, and therefore have not gotten the Timing Specs you need. If you can bear with me a bit longer, I will get over to my Garage, and get you those specs.

If you wish, in the meantime, you can register for the 'Discussion Board' my Club maintains http://www.allpar.net/slantsixforums/index.php ,and Post your question there.
