Question
there is water leaking from the passenger side of the car by my feet. and when I start the car, I smell a funny smell. Is it my air condition?

Answer
Based on what you've written, I'd say you have a Heater Core leak. The smell you're noticing is hot Anti-Freeze. Depending on the Make and Model of vehicle you have, the Labor to replace the Core, could be quite substantial (as in running into hundreds of Dollars).
