Question My car has been making a clacking noise for a while now and I thought it was the axel, but we replaced it. The noise would go faster and get louder as I accelerated. today when I was going down the road it suddenly stopped going, as if someone had put it in neutral. (but it was still in drive) now I't wont go at all... do you have any idea what's wrong with it?
thanks so much
-shaina
Answer Without knowing exactly what kind of car you have, it is rather diffcult to give a proper answer. I can guess that your noise was Transmission related, and whatever was on its way out, finally failed. A reputable Shop can better diagnose what is wrong with your car's Transmission.
