Question
Trying to determine how to repair cracked automotive interior plastic panels. There are know marking so I cannot tell what kind of plastic the panels are made out of.

Hi Clarence, If your car was made after the year 2000, there must be an identification code somewhere in the back, invisible side of the panels. Therefore you need to detach them from the body so you can check them out. Please do this and tell me what you found. Otherwise, we may need to make certain tests in order to identify the polymer so that Ican devise a repairing plan for you. Some pictures of the afected areas would also be useful. a code is something like this:
<PP> which stands for Polypropylene, or <ABS> for acrylo- nitrile- butadiene- styrene and so forth.
