Question
Hello! We just read your answer to "Lori" (12/7/07). Is there any way to contact her to find out what she found out? I have a 16 year old with the same situation. Also, Jeff, Jacob is 6' tall ... he's curious whether he would need to rent the higher cost planes so there's leg room? We read up on a flight school near here (OKC) and they offered a $26/hr plane and the next level is $90/hr that seats 4 and has more room. He's trying to pay for this on his own. He's also looking at Civil Air Patrol.
Thank you,
Kara & Jacob Lanctot

Answer
Sorry, all my questions are filtered through AllExperts and I don't know how to contact the questioners.  As for Jacob, I would recommend trying the less expensive airplane to see how it works out.  I learned in a Cessna 150, and although it was cozy with two people on board, I never felt like it wasn't adequate for my height (I'm 6' also).  If I were 16 and paying my own way I would definitely find a way to scrunch up into whatever airplane I could afford!  Good luck to you and Jacob, and please let me know if you have other questions along the way.
