Aviation/Flying - pilots

Expert: Mike Burbridge - 8/27/2008

Question
What licensesdo I need to have to be a commercial pilot? Does it have to do with FAA?

Answer
The FAA is a branch of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and is the licensing authority for all pilots in the United States.
To be a commercial Pilot you would need to obtain an FAA Class 2 Medical Certificate and a FAA Commercial Pilot's License.

Here is a link to the FAA's website that has all of the information on requirements for both the Medical Certificate and the Commercial Pilot's License:

http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/

Any other questions, feel free to ask.

Mike B.
