Question
I have been an aviation nut for many years and have check all kinds of resources to find scholarships yo get my ratings would you have any sugestions my goal is to become ATP certified THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

Answer
Ed,

I feel your pain, flying is an expensive endeavor to pursue. The military is probably the cheapest way in the field, offering flight school for a general payback of around 5-6 years of service. This is ok since it will take that long to achieve any experience which is needed to be employed by the aviation community. During this time you can get your additional ratings from the gov. including CFI CFII MEI and ATP I received all my ratings at Gov expense. Good luck on whatever you decide.
