Question
My father-in-law just moved to Reno, NV to live with us. He was a WW2 pilot and flew airplanes as a civilian and he became a test pilot for Howard Hughes and the XH17 Helicopter. We are looking for any organizations dealing with flying or pilots he might join in the area, and I just cannot find anything on the web. Can you give me a lead? Thanks

Answer
I applaud his accomplishments, sounds like an interesting man. Try EAA.com Experimental Aircraft Assn. Depends on his service and what he flew but there are organizations out there like P47 pilots assn. To find an organization right in your area would be shear luck. If he is computer savvy there is no doubt he can find something to peak his interest on the web. Best of luck! I know this probably did not help your cause..but I thought I would try.
