Question
Hi Dottie,
I am a PPC student and I am having a real hard time communicating effectively with the ATC.  I ran into a communication simulator called COMM1 VFR Communication Simulator.  Are you familiar with the product?  Do you think it is an effective tool to get me over this hump? Thank you.

I am sorry to say, I have no personal experience with this Comm1 ATC Simulator. It may very well be a good product, but I cannot give an opinion on it as I have never used it. If they have some sort of satisfaction guarantee, I don't think it would hurt to try it and you may like it. At least if you we not satisfied, you wouldn't be out the $100.

You might also try listening to some free online ATC feeds just to become familiar with terminology and the types of calls you want to be familiar with. Here are some links where you can find some frequencies to listen to on the internet-
