Question
Hi Ismar,
I was wondering if you could tell me about the FAA's NextGen Network Enabled Weather (NNEW)program. I understand that the program is being implemented with the purpose of  more efficiently providing weather data. I do not however, understand what issues in the current weather reporting system it will address. Also, I am having some trouble understanding how the "Four Dimensional Weather Data Cube", which seems to at the heart of the program works.

I would be extremely thankful for any insight you may have on this subject.

Answer
Hi Seth,
In response Next Generation system will be coming in next few years on line. Fact is that right now, FAA still has problems to resolve issues with software support for Next Generation. All information about system and how will operate are still unclear to me. I will research more in detail and try to respond as I do have getting informations.
