Aviation/Flying - Geodetic Structure

Expert: Paul Ruderham - 11/18/2004

Question
I am going to fly around the world. Could you write me where could I find exactly path of aeroplane flying between two airports? For example: Do I fly over himalaya mountains flying from Berlin to Tokio or Singapore directly? I read about Geodetic Structure, is this the path which use aeroplanes to fly between airports. Is there any program or web page to show me paths beetween two distant airports?

Answer
Dear Marek,

You need to use a gps navigation system. Most aircraft are fitted with these now. You just punch in your start and finish points and it shows the route for you. If you have micrsoft flight sim check the navigation section out on this. Its very accurate.

Regards
PR
