Question I would like to know what has to be done to actually make an airplane take off. In a car, for example, there's much less 'controls' to operate in a sequenced order.
Answer I'm not sure just what items you are interested in. However, if you assume that the engines have been started and the aircraft is on the runway there only remains the need to increase forward speed to achieve flying speed and rotate the aircraft to climbing attitude and it will be flying.
