Question How long does it take to become a captin?
Answer Hi Herzon, there is no one answer to this question. At some airlines it can take as little as a few years and at others it may take 20 or more years. If you have the qualifications and get hired by a start up airline you may start out as a Captain. That happened to me at USAfrica airlines in 1991.
