Question
dear Mr. ned, I will be flying with my dad next week for the first time on a southwest flight. And I am scared! Is there anyway that a wing or tail wing could snap off during a flight. Thanks , derek

Answer
Dear Derek, of course anything is possible. But what you (and the rest of the world) have to look at is what is probable.

There is almost no chance that a major part of a Southwest plane could fail during a flight. You can rest assured that you will have a pleasant flight and that you will enjoy it a lot. Get a seat near a window if possible (and not over the wing) so you can see the great sights from above.

Have fun and enjoy your flight.

Ned
